So, I brought home my first Seeing Eye dog about three weeks ago. I'm still in highschool, and now they're trying to say that I can't bring her. Can they really do that? I don't think they can. Bashful have you considered giving a talk about the role of a guide dog, to the numpties who tried to ban your dog,it would put them in the picture and educate others..

Yeah, I think I have to do that fairly soon. I'm not sure when yet, but they want me to go talk to all these people and educate them now.

Personally, i don't think that High school students should be allowed to have guide dogs, not that your mature enough to handle it Bashfull, some are not like you.

They said that I was an exception and that I handled my dog better than some of the retrains, but yes, I agree that not everyone should be allowed to bring a dog into a high school setting. I have been researching the best way to approach it for 5 years now, so I think I can handle it.

N", they can't refuse you...you're dog is allowed everywhere you go. The only place that has a right to refuse you is someone's private residence, but she is allowed in all public places. If the school persists in giving you trouble, bring the authorities &/or the media into it. That'll shut them up pretty quick.

I'm gonna try and get a guide dog too. This next summer, if I'm accepted. And I'll be a jnior and senior in high school and have it, if I get one. I feel ready to handle it, so I hope the school agrees.
